In 2002 , Yvon Tatafasa moved to the United States and setteled in York Pa and began making many friends and performing music solo, in the local area. A few years later, he met David Rajaonary, also from Madagascar at a Malagasy party in Washington.DC and the two have been friends and music collaborators ever since.
In 2009 Yvon formed the final version of B-Tropical with David Rajaonary, Mamoudou Konate, an African Djembe Percussionist and their band began performing together around the New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland music scene from Small bars to benefit concerts and special events and soon started to draw a good following of friends and fans in each area. These talented and experienced musicians gel together not only on stage but off as well! Their music is a blend of many cultures and is in the genres of African Rhythms, African and Jamaican Reggae, Soukous, Soca and Latin Influence. Everyone is smiling and having a great time, the way it should be when a band performs. B-Tropical is a band. Meaning they play "together" and are very charismatic! it is difficult for the fans and friends to take their eyes off of them both on stage and off! B-Tropical is known for giving back to society as well, performing for wonderful causes i.e, helping to build schools in Haiti, performing for many benefit and money raising events for Cancer research.
